Commercial break - Nandos@Jalan Tan Cheng Lock
Yummy chicken at Nandos! Me and my wife went to eat there yesterday..the place just been renovated last month..nice ambient environment, quiet and peaceful from the hustle and bustle of KL people out there! More photos? Please visit my flickrs la!
In the Eurostar
After checking in to a very strict immigration point at the station, we headed to the waiting area to wait for the arrival of the train..Suddenly, one of my colleague shouted in excitement that she got a free Disney Coloring book and pencils from a promotion booth around the area..tsk! tsk!..kiasu mentality! What a shame..
Erm..being a kiasu myself..i rushed to the booth to ask for one too..kekekeke!
Finally an announcement at the station informed us to proceed to the departure area and when the train stops we heads to the respective cabin numbers as given by the tour guide..
Kanasai!!! @#!%^&*%^@@#! The ticket inspector informed us that our seats were taken! It appears that there was a duplication of tickets! Damn frustrated of the incident..thought we will be delayed this time..
Hehe..after the tour guide walked up and down and chatting with a few Eurostar personnels there, we were lead to our train cabin finally..really don't know what's happening..but what the heck!
The trip on the train is plain boring..after a few rounds of 'Sap Sam Cheong' session with some of my male colleagues, my stomach growls! Grrr..Grrr...
Damn! It's lunchtime!
I went to a cafetaria far far behind the cabin to check what they have there for lunch..took a brochure..browsed through for one minute..then straight away hurried back to my seat..taking out some oatmeal bar from my backpack to eat..why? Look at the price stated above? Siao!!
Paris..wa lai liao!!
After spending 2 nights at the crappy hotel in London, we had tapau-ed an Engrish breakfast from the hotel to eat in the bus..hmm..nicely packed in a paper bag I found a cup of Orange Juice and a piece of muffin and a cup of Yogurt..healthy breakfast..not bad!An hour or so later, we reached the Eurostar station..where we took a 3 hours train ride from London to Paris..kekekeke..off we go to the lomantic city!
London Underground

My virgin encounter with the Underground!Took a short Underground route from Victoria Station to Piccadilly Circus the night before I left London..to feel the mood and atmosphere of Piccadilly Circus where you can find all type and all sorts of people there! Informed by our tour guide that if you walk past a shop displaying a threr colored flag (can't remember the color formation), it means it's a gay territory..be careful! Hehe..
Seen many pubs, nightclubs, bars, sex shops etc etc that night..a very eye opening walk indeed!

London eye

Ahh..this is a bonus treat from our boss!! A ride on London Eye!We took the ride at night and it was freaking cold that night in London..remembered just after getting down from the bus, the wind was strong and cold..and I was freakin trembling all over my body..brrr!! brrr!! so damn cold..hehe..the coldest I ever felt la!
Rushed to the toilet located near the ticket booth, I wear my Long John that luckily I brought along..phew! that was a relief after wearing it...it really really kept you warm! Thank you Mr Long John for the warmth you have provided me..without you I would have freezed to death! Kekekeke!
Took a few shots while on top of the London Eye..and end up having this nice photo to share..handheld for a few seconds I think...no tripod!
What I bought at Harrods?
More freebies!!
Wow!! I thought I saw another freebies for grab again..hehe...lucky me!Just walk pass the cashier counter, grab it and leave..ahem..this one no need to pay one! Stim!
Thought that I will get a free CD or Kodak film as written on the envelope..but end up with NOTHING!! Yes..Nothing!!
Read the fine print on the RED box..'FREE Kodak FILM..For every film you send for developing and printing'..BAH!!!

Freebies!
As I do my walk around near the hotel, I went to Victoria Station just beside it in the morning to do some surveying..blimey! I saw this 'Merlin The Return' DVD for grab!Erm, not actually for grab but you gotta buy the Daily Mail at I think 45 pence and you get it for free..which without hesitation I bought it straight away..coz I am a big fan of Merlin the Magician.
Hmm..sad to say that since returning from the tour in March 2007, I have not even watched this DVD..I make a resolution here to watch it in September 2007 before it goes missing..kekeke!
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Hmm..was informed by my more informative colleagues that this is The Mother of all Doughnuts..supposed to melt in your mouth when you bite it..as claimed.
We found this at Harrods where we shopped for a while...bought 2 boxes of different flavor to share among us..the verdict? Yummmmmmy!!!! But too sweet for me..as a result of buying more than we can eat..each of us stuffed a few more into our stomach just to dispose of it..burp!
I am scared of hearing of the name Krispy Kreme after that! Too much of it makes u sick!
London's Musical Theatre

I would like to watch this...but unfortunately the tour does not include the show..well for one thing, the ticket price range is between 15 British Pound to 60 British Pound, converted to RM would be HUGE!I have heard of this show for quite some time...anyway, when I visit London again, I am sure to watch it once in a lifetime!

I met Big Ben!
Wah! After watching so many TV shows, VCD and DVDs..finally I got the chance to see Big Ben live in London..happy!Drive past Big Ben, like any ordinary tourist, we were dropped at certain destination for half and hour to take photos. Yes, after breakfast we went for a half day's London city sights visiting the famous Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch, Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column, Big Ben and House of Parliament.
London, 11 March 2007

Had Engrish breakfast at hotel, quickly ran out to take some shots with my room-mate, my HK boss Jerry Ko Ko..hehe! Eh..dun comment on the composition coz he's not trained to know about rule of thirds etc etc..coz we only do snapshots like any tourists ok?At that time, I had not owned a DSLR yet, just has my 'old friend' Canon EOS3 film SLR, my travelling companion for years! So in order to save film processing and developing costs, I don't take many photos, save money ma! Kiamsiap!
Europe Tour 2007!

Embarked on flight MH4 on 10 March 2007 at 11.15 a.m to London Heathrow Airport..my first Europe destination awaits me..kekeke!
After having some crappy meals on plane and bored to death watching on-flight videos, I reach Heathrow Airport zombied! Really have no idea where I had dinner..checked in to hotel that night to have a good night's sleep..oh yea! Zombied coz of jet lag and upside down time difference between Asia and Europe! Thats why!
Checked in at Thistle Victoria Hotel at Buckingham Palace Road, a crappy hotel but according to out tour guide it is The expensive hotel around that area, which I had to believe coz I had no freaking idea about London.
See the photo? I had to grab an angmoh to take a photo with me as a proof that I've been to London..kekekeke! So kiasu..yet very practical.

LEVEL UP!!
Muahahahaha! This is my favourite word in Maple..after all the hard work..it pays! The higher the level the more powerful your character is, and you can use more sophisticated spells and weapons or armours. And those teeny weeny monsters that once bullied you..you can actually kill it with a one-hit KO! Fuwahhh!! Shiok!
As you progress to higher level, new and more excited challenges and quests awaits you..that is why it kept me coming back for more..hehe..the gameplay is not too violent but it takes up a lot of your free time though..so need to plan your playing time properly.
Maple..hunting ground
Hehe..in this game you gotta kill those slimes, snails etc etc to gain experience points before you can up your levels..and I find this a boring task to do..but it's a must to build up your character..I remembered spending hours killing those little pests to level up..and feel the satisfaction when you level up and be able to kill more powerful monsters!By the way, those monsters are cute!! Sometimes I do not have the heart to kill them..until they come and attack me..hehe..self protection ma! Who ask them to come and touch me first??

Maple..the beginning

Hehe..see this character called 'maple'..yeah..he is a noob! Level One nia...kekekeke!
Hey dun laugh la..I started at that level too ma..
Ok, that is supposed to be the first world that you can play and explore..kill those teeny weeny weak monsters with your lame weapon or magic..build up your experience and move up the levels..and yeah do some quests so that your exp point can go up even faster when you completed the quest, and you will get some freebies like potions, weapons, armour etc..
See the lady on top? Yup, she is called a NPC, a non-player character where you can interact with to do quests on their request..ahem..you cannot ask them out for a date though..kekeke
Once you level up to like Level 8-10, then you can choose your first job..either a magician, warrior, rogue, thief etc etc..and take a ship can head out to the real world!!
Charge!!!!!
My alter-ego

Yes, he is me too! haha..nickname is 'gandalfius' a character in an online game called Maple Story, a 2D role playing game, something like MMORPG.
Been hooked by this game after being informed by Aaron that this game exists a few months ago..nice game and non-violent..I hate violence!!
Actually it is a Magician at level 31 at this moment, doing a second job advancement as a Magician-Fire Poison rank..yes! Next target is at Level 60, er..I think..then I gotta choose to become a Mage..more powerful one..muahahahahaha!
Eh..call me silly for playing this childish game ar? Cannot meh? I like..so I play lor! Do I have to care what other people say about me? Bleah!!!
I play this game mostly at home night time..it is good to be immersed in this make-believe world, where I can at least forget about the difficulty of life for a moment..where I can go kill monsters..do quests..go and 'KS' other people..hehe..new term I learn from playing this game..oh..KS means 'Kill Steal' ..where a higher level character go to a place or cal it a map, then kill those monsters while some beginners or lower level players are there killing the monsters too..u know la..noobs ma..they gotta hit the monsters a few hundred times before they can kill it..while I just kill with a one hit KO.
And when the monster die hor, they will drop items or mesos (the game's currency), so I am like stealing from them lor..but the game has an interactive thing where these noobs can type a message for everyone to see like 'gandalfius is a KSer!!'..hehe..no ler, i won't KS people one..
Wah, so stim even mentioning this game in my blog..kinda being poisoned deep deep liao..
erm, tired of hearing this? Want me to stop here? Well..NO!!!
I will continue and continue with my this new found game until you get bored and stop visiting my blog again..muahahahaha!
But of course, I will also put some commercial break in between la..just in case you got fed-up..
Liulian!
It's end of the liulian season for my beloved dusun liao! Think I own slightly above 2 acres of liulian and rubber plantation on top of the hill..but seriously speaking, I don't even know which area of the land is mine..duh!This year I went only once to the dusun situated at an Orang Asli settlement near Mantin, called Kg. Belihoi. In the past when my eldest brother was still around, I remembered going there with him almost every weekend to pick up some nice durians for own consumption, free wan lah of course! kekekeke
Ai..since his passing away a few years back, I have not been there for quite some time. When I re-visited last month, it brought back many memories of my brother..can still see in my mind..he mingled with the Orang Asli, negotiate with them on the price, weighing the durians and putting them up on the lorry..by the way, he is known as 'Abu' by the orang asli. My dad is known as 'Kerani' by them. And, I am known only as the 'Anak Kerani' or 'Abu mia adik' by a few of them who knows me..pathetic!!
Maybe I should tell them they can call me 'Tua Pui' or 'Pui Kia' next time.
The good ol'days has gone la..but I'll try to go more often next year, the' job' has been handed to my second brother known by the orang asli as 'Ah Kau' ekekeke..but I have communication problem with him, that is why I'm not so keen to go when the durian season arrives.
More blogging later, I can feel my blogging mood coming back, stay tuned!!

Selective desaturation
Erm..supposed to be rendering the picture B&W, then using the brush in Photoshop to paint the section that you want it to be in color using the black ink..so that the color will come out on that particular section..black to bring out the color, white to reverse the color..hmm..easy to remember..kekeke..
My first attempt at this process and I tell you hor..I like it so much!
Laksa!
